With the Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic & Watch Ultra 2, Samsung will bring a newer One UI 8 Watch software version. It will be based on the Android Wear OS 6 platform that brings some of the latest features from Google. Now, the firmware database has found out that Samsung is working on One UI 8 Watch software for the Galaxy Watch 6 series watches. The newly spotted firmware is R960XXU1CYF6, and it is assigned to the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic variant.
Google has recently confirmed Gemini Live tool will come to Wear OS watches, including the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup. It will work along with Bixby to deliver a helping hand using voice input commands. Apart from that, Google will bring some key changes to watch faces and existing apps. On the other hand, Samsung will do the same by introducing new features. It announces new features like Bedtime Guidance to optimize sleep, Vascular Load to measure stress, and Antioxidant Index to measure aging.
Further, in a One UI 8 Watch, Running Coach will also get new measurements to improve your skills. Now Brief AI tool, which is now available on Galaxy S25, will also become part of smartwatches in a new software. The company will first conduct a beta testing program on various Galaxy watches. After that, we can see a stable version of it on all the supported watches. As per the news, the Galaxy Watch 5 and later devices can join the beta program and also receive all these features.
