Samsung has launched two new smartwatches in its Galaxy Watch lineup. The new Galaxy Watch 7 is the next generation watch in the Galaxy Watch series, and the new Watch Ultra is the answer to the Apple Watch Ultra. For the first, Samsung has brought a smartwatch with a rectangular design but put the main screen in a circular shape. This way users will get the best of both worlds with the new Wear OS 5 software. For a reason, the company named Galaxy Watch Ultra instead of Watch 7 Ultra.
The Galaxy Watch 7 comes with the same circular display and carries the legacy of its predecessors. It received sleep apnea feature, and a 3nm Exynos chipset to give a faster performance. Both watches come in 40mm & 44mm sizes, but there is no sign of a physical rotating bezel. The Watch Ultra is rugged and robust with 10ATM, IP68, and MIL-STD-810H certification. It can survive up to 9000 meters above sea level and down to -500 below sea level. Like the Apple Watch Ultra, you will get some special and more curated workout modes on the Watch Ultra.
Apart from that, both watches run on One UI Watch 6 software, and offer Google services, 100 workout modes, SpO2, ECG, BP, Skin Temperature, sleep apnea, and body composition functions. On a single charge, Watch Ultra will run for 48 hours, and Watch 7 for a day in normal usage. The pre-orders for both gadgets started today with a launching date of July 24.
