The Galaxy S24 series is now receiving its first software update with a January security patch. The latest firmware version is available to install in the US for Verizon-locked users. The changelog only mentions improving the overall user experience and there are bug fixes in the security code. Samsung dispatched firmware code S921USQU1AWM9 for the regular Galaxy S24 smartphone. The Galaxy S24+ & S24 Ultra devices have also received the same update from Verizonβs locked carrier.
It doesnβt bring any changes because Samsung has already stated there is no issue with the Vivid mode on the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung official member promised to send the fix, but later Samsung Spain team cleared there was no issue with color production, so no need to send another update. The camera also has some problems in many areas, though we need to see if it has been solved in this firmware.
It will soon be released in other countries this week or next week. The Galaxy S24 series launched with plenty of new features and AI functions. To get the new January update, open Settings and head to the Software Update section.
