Samsung is reportedly gearing up for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra smartphone as we have come across more details like the model number and availability details regarding the device.
The next-gen foldable smartphones are tipped to debut in July at a Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Z Flip 6, and more products.
A report from Galaxy Club states that Samsung will debut the upcoming Ultra smartphone with the SM-F958 model number. To recall, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 5 with the SM-F946 model number.
The vanilla Galaxy Z Fold 6 was recently spotted on multiple certifications with the SM-F956 model number. The β6β in the last digital always stands for the foldable smartphones from the brand.
However, the recently launched Galaxy S24 Ultra and all other previous Galaxy Ultra smartphones debuted with a model number ending with β8,β meaning that the first Ultra Galaxy foldable is coming soon. The publication further adds that the Ultra variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 might be limited to South Korea.
The report doesnβt confirm the development of the smartphone with the SM-F958 model number in any other regions. The previous leaks suggest that Samsung could equip the Ultra variant with a dedicated slot for housing the S-Pen. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra is also tipped to sport a larger cover and inner screens, measuring 6.25-inch and 7.61-inch, respectively.
In related news, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones were recently certified by Chinaβs 3C authority. The certification reveals that Samsung will debut smartphones with support for 25W wired fast charging tech. Samsung will equip the next-gen foldable duo with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Made for Galaxy chipsets.
